Welcome and boarding – Avignon


Around 4 pm, transfer to MAM GOZ tied up on the Rhône River in Avignon. After you settle down, you can rest on board or have the pleasure to walk along the banks or in the center of the beautiful town of Avignon, the famous Popes ‘City.

Visit of Avignon - cruise to Vallabrègues


The morning begins with a walk in Avignon and the visit of the famous Popes’ Palace. Capital of the western Christian world in the fourteenth century, Avignon presents an exceptional set of monuments, beautiful squares, remarkable mansions, winding lanes and fashion boutiques. In the afternoon, you will rest on board during the cruise along the Costières de Nîmes to Saint-Gilles, famous for its pilgrimage developed since the 11th century.

Les Alpilles in Provence - cruise to Arles


You will enjoy discovering steep hills in the heart of Provence: the Alpilles. Visit of Les Baux-de-Provence, a fortified medieval city with its winding small streets, shady terraces and its imposing fortress. Then, you will meet the true star of the Alpilles: the delicious olive oil produced by the Moulin de Castelas. After a light lunch on a typical small village square, you will discover Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. You will enjoy its fashion boutiques and art galleries. During your cruise to Arles, you will pass an impressive lock with a height difference of 14 m.

ARLES, an ancient roman city - cruise to AIGUES-MORTES


How can the magic of Arles be explained? Does it come from the light that once so dazzled Van Gogh? The impressive architectural vestiges since Roman epoc that are the legacy of successive generations? You will find answers thanks to the comments of your guide during the visit of this marvelous city of Provence. In the afternoon, you will navigate the Petit Rhône, one of the arms of the delta du Rhône which encloses the Camargue. You will pass the large lock of Saint-Gilles to navigate the Canal du Rhône à Sète. Comfortably installed on the upper deck, you will discover a part of the Camargue with its white horses and bulls living among the reeds and ponds. Arrival in Aigues-Mortes, a well preserved citadel placed in the middle of salt marshes.

AIGUES-MORTES, medieval city - cruise to PALAVAS


Visit of the beautiful city of Aigues-Mortes, founded by King Saint-Louis to have a harbor on the Mediterranean Sea. Then we will board the miniature train of Les Salins du Midi for a magical walk more than one hour around the salt marshes. You will discover how salt is produced and why sea water has a pink color before harvest. After lunch, you will navigate between lakes and the vineyards of the Coteaux du Languedoc. Arrival in Palavas, a Southern resort located on a strip of land between the Sea and wild ponds.

Cruise between ponds ans sea - visit of SETE


In the morning, you can rest onboard; spend time on the beach. You can visit “Le Phare de la Méditerranée”, a former water tower, completely rehabilitated and transformed into an amazing touristic infrastructure. You can also bike along the canal to visit the peninsula of Maguelone and its old cathedral. After light lunch on board, you will cruise to Sète. Founded by Louis XIV in 1666, Sète is crossed by numerous canals. The town is considered by many as the Venice of the Languedoc.

To confirm your booking, you provide a deposit of 30% by bank transfer. This will be taken as an acceptance of terms and sales conditions. The balance is due 90 days before the start date of your cruise. Non paiement will be taken as cancellation. You can also book via your local travel agency. They can get in contact with us.
The route might be reversed without altering the quality of the cruise or implying any disturbance for our clients. If during the cruise a technical problem such as lock blocking, canal works, flooding or mechanical or technical problems with the barge, etc. would occur, we reserve the right to change the cruise route and propose alternatives without altering the quality and with mind the fully satisfaction of our clients.
Guests should be of reasonable fitness and agility suitable for a barging holiday.
